Boring lifeless modern car with a million 'modules' and ecus/sensors, that won't be reliable for long, that looks boring with the stupid 'suv' styling no-one in the UK needs, versus a proper coupe 'mans car' that is distinctive and aggressive, paired with being built like a brick shit house pull it out of a swamp from 60+ years ago old skool that'll still start with 2 wires... HMMM. EASY choice - and this coming from someone with many old BMW's, so no bias. Old Skool over modern cars any day! ANYONE can go buy a modern car or finance it, crash it, replace it 'off the shelf' you simply CANNOT do this with a modified/classic, that's what forms sucha bond. The fact that you nearly smoked him up until the last minute despite the engine misfiring, and with an old chassis and only rear wheel drive with no fancy launch control etc, cements my point!
